This digital library includes maps and old documents on 「四国遍路」(Shikoku Pilgrimage), 「空海」 (Kukai), 「金毘羅」 (Kotohira-gū) and history of Kagawa Prefecture.

Created by 西日本新聞. Hashima Island, known as "Battleship Island," is an island, 20 km from Nagasaki. The island was known for its undersea coal mines and was once populated with mine workers. In its heyday the population reached to 5,000. The concrete apartment complex and shore protection walls made the island look like a battleship. The The mine was closed in 1974 and the island has been abandoned. The interest gains international attentions for its modern regional heritage and undisturbed housing complex remnants. This archive describes the history of this island, featuring videos and photographs.
