Linguistics: Getting started

Guide to KU Library resources for general linguistics and Slavic linguistics topics including database information, linguistics keywords used in the Catalog, and other information

Starting points

Databases:

Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) is the most comprehensive database for Linguistics research. The database contains full text for most articles. It also indexes book chapters, dissertations, and conference proceedings for Linguistics topics. For those without full text you can often navigate to the full text by clicking the   icon.

Please note! LLBA is NOT searchable though the simple search box on the KU Libraries home page-- the box immediately under the "Get Started" tab.

This link will direct you to an interactive subject index in the Online Catalog for many of the most common Linguistics topics.
