Library Resources for Master's in Digital Content Strategy: Books/E-Books

This guide is intended to assist graduate student's in using the KU Libraries' resources.

KU Libraries Policies

KU Libraries Policies for graduate students - Graduate students may check out an unlimited number of long-term loan items for 4 months, and may renew the items 5 times via the Library Catalog before returning the items to the library or return the items to the library to check them out again.

Finding Books in the KU Libraries

How to use the catalog - this is a very basic tutorial.  Librarian Tip: When looking at search results, consider sorting by "most recent."

Books

Ask KU Libraries to buy this book - KU Libraries' catalog may contain records for books that are not in the collection.  If you need a book for your research, follow the directions on the "Ask KU Libraries to buy this book" link.  Librarian tip: Be sure to designate HOME DELIVERY in the dropdown box.

How to do a subject search in the catalog - this can help you narrow your results.

Use WorldCat to find books not owned by KU Libraries - WorldCat is a database that includes millions of records describing items owned by libraries (KU may also own a copy), which you can request through Interlibrary Loan.  Librarian Tip: WorldCat uses the word "Descriptor" to describe subject terms.  By click on one of the Descriptor links, you can find other books on your topic.
