Rock Chalk Reading Challenge: Home

This guide will provide information on the "Rock Chalk Reading Challenge" at KU Libraries.

At the University of Kansas, we view literacy as growth and see reading as opportunity to open doors and understand the world in new and exciting ways. The Rock Chalk Reading Challenge is an effort to encourage our campus community to read more and read differently. We have created a series of reading challenges for our community to complete throughout the year. Some of the challenges are up to your interpretation, we won’t judge you, but there will be opportunities to participate and share with others. As a way to check in and build community, we will host a book club on the 3rd Thursday of each month in Watson Library (see schedule below). We hope this will provide an opportunity to receive book recommendations, hear what folks are reading, and chat with others about our interests! Those who complete the challenge will be qualified to win prizes from local businesses including The Raven, The Dusty Bookshelf, Wonderfair and more!

We hope that you will use this guide to help lead you to your next great read and build a community here at KU with similar interests!
