Welcome to the University of Kansas Libraries! This guide places together information you’ll need to begin your research at the KU Libraries.
Much of the research you’ll be doing will be at one of the libraries on the KU campus. There are two main libraries on the KU campus:
- Watson Library houses the collections of the humanities and social sciences and international area studies.
- Anschutz Library houses the collections of the sciences, business and American government information.
In addition, there are 3 branch libraries:
- Art & Architecture
- Music & Dance
- Engineering
There are two other libraries on the Lawrence campus with their own unique collections:
- Spencer Research Library
- Law Library
All of these collections are available for your use. Hours of each library varies so please check the library hours before coming to campus.
Since much of your research will be on-campus, each library will have computers that are reserved for use by non-KU users. Please ask any staff member at any circulation or reference desk to help you identify these computers.
- The library catalog maybe accessed from any computer on or off campus.
- The article databases are available for use only in a campus library.
