David Phillips' Principles for Giving Presentations
- ONE message per slide
- Don't read the slide
- MOST IMPORTANT idea should be the LARGEST
- Contrast what you want their eyes to focus on and blur out the rest. A dark background relaxes the audience's eyes, so they focus on you, the speaker. You are giving the presentation, and the PP is a visual aid.
- The magic number of objects per slide is 6 (the number of objects in the presentation is the key, not the number of slides.)
