The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian: Zemaljski muzej Bosne i Hercegovine / Земаљски музеј Босне и Херцеговине) is located in central Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established in 1888, having originally been conceived around 1850 and expanded in 1913 by the Czech architect Karel Pařík adding four symmetric pavilions that contain the departments of archaeology, ethnology, natural history, and a library.

The house was built by a prominent Sarajevo family, the Glođos, a member of which was kadi – Islamic judge-administrator – Munib effendi Glođo, famous for his involvement in Bosnia’s struggle for autonomy within the Ottoman Empir

The Tunnel of Hope is a tunnel that the Bosnian army built in 1993 to connect the city of Sarajevo with the only free territory in the surrounding area – Mountain Igman. Years of war in Bosnia (1992-1995) were very hard and this 800 m long tunnel that was built under the airport is something that made everyday life in Bosnia easier.
