Paraguay is located in central South America, it is bordered by Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil. It is often referred to as the "Heart of South America".
The Paraguayan flag has a unique design. It differs on its obverse and reverse sides. The obverse of the flag depicts the national coat of arms and the reverse the seal of the treasury. It is the only United Nations recognized nation with a present-day flag that officially has two different designs on each side.
