Under the Data tab on the United States Department of Agriculture: Economic Research Service (USDA - ERS) website, you will be able to browse data specifically from the USDA by topic via a topic list or drop down menu. The data can be buried on this site. Once, you have clicked into the topic of your choice you may need to look for a 'Data' option in the selection list on the upper lefthand side.

The Data & Statistics tab on the website of the United States Department of Agriculture: National Agricultural Statistics Service (USDA - NASS) can be a good source of data when conducting life cycle assessments. You can navigate to data via quick stats, state, or subject. There is also an option to 'Ask a Specialist' if you need help finding data.

The United States Department of Agriculture: Census of Agriculture (USDA - AgCensus) websites offers another route to the quick stats search of the NASS. It also offers downloadable and online interactive maps for crop and plants, livestock, economics, farms, and operators.

AgroClimate is web-based resource hosted by the University of Florida. It is specific to the Southeast region of the United States. However, it does have water footprint and carbon footprint calculators.

Data.gov is an online portal to many government datasets. You can browse by relevant topics to this course like agriculture, climate, ecosystems, etc.. This online data portal is a good place to start a search for government data to use in life cycle assessments of ingredients of a bacon cheeseburger.
