Here are tips to getting research materials you need delivered to you in a timely fashion.
On-campus Document Delivery Service
Current KU faculty, staff and students may now request electronic copies of articles from print journals in the Lawrence and Edwards campus collections. They may also use WebRetrieve to request articles in journals held at the KU Medical Center Library directly from KU Med. All articles will be delivered electronically directly to the user whenever possible. Requests will be accepted only from eligible users with email addresses in the KU Libraries circulation system. Turnaround time is usually within 3 working days.
Retrieve from Shelf Service
Current KU faculty, staff and students may request items housed in one library be sent to another library location for them to pickup there. Requests are made via the online catalog after you have discovered an item you want delivered to a different location (including the Edwards campus). An email will be sent informing the person making the request of the availability of the item at the specific location requested.
Interlibrary loan
KU patrons may request books, articles, and other library materials not available locally via an online request form. Users will receive most articles directly to their email accountg through the KU Electronic Document Delivery service. Click on Request materials on the Libraries main page at www.lib.ku.edu to initiate this process.
