All the Athens Institute’s publications, including the e-journals, serve only its mission and cannot be changed to serve any other purpose. Athens Institute’s e-journals are open access without any costs related to publication charged to the author or to the reader which includes their host institutions as well. Athens Institute’’s publications follow Socrates’ example of promoting academic discourse and therefore are free. Since the publications are open access, the intellectual property rights of a paper remain with its author.

This journal publishes essays dealing with the history, institutions, and culture of modern Greece from its origins to the present.

The Journal of Greek Media & Culture is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal that aims to provide a platform for debate and exploration of a wide range of manifestations of media and culture in and about Greece. The journal adopts a broad and inclusive approach to media and culture with reference to film, photography, literature, the visual arts, music, theatre, performance, as well as all forms of electronic media and expressions of popular culture.

EBSCO is a company that provides information services and research databases to libraries and other institutions. They are known for their EBSCOhost platform, which is used to access a wide variety of online research databases, journals, and other resources.

The Encyclopedia of Slavic Languages and Linguistics offers the most comprehensive reference work on Slavic languages ever published, with some 400 articles. It provides authoritative treatment of all important aspects of the Slavic language family from its Indo-European origins to the present day, as well as consideration of the interaction of Slavic with other languages.

Greek is one of the many languages whose text corpora are included in Sketch Engine, a tool for discovering how language works. Sketch Engine is designed for linguists, lexicologists, lexicographers, researchers, translators, terminologists, teachers and students working with Greek to easily discover what is typical and frequent in the language and to notice phenomena which would go unnoticed without a large sample of Greek text.

CEEOL is a leading provider of academic eJournals, eBooks and Grey Literature documents in Humanities and Social Sciences from and about Central, East and Southeast Europe.

The 'CENSUS of Modern Greek Literature' aims to facilitate access to Greek literature for speakers of English by providing references to all discoverable English-language translations of modern Greek literature and to all discoverable studies in English that relate to modern Greek literature from the twelfth century AD to the present.

The aim of the project is twofold: to concentrate on the development of a methodological model for studying the sensory history of Ottoman urban spaces in transition and to explore the contemporary politics of historical memory as articulated in the Greek and European public sphere, through the opening up of a dialogue with the broader community of professionals and practitioners.

TravelTrails is an online database, which indexes, categorizes and analyzes travelers’ accounts in the Eastern Mediterranean from the early sixteenth-century up to 1830. Based on the collections of the Gennadius Library and the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, it helps the user to navigate through the diverse and rich historical information contained in travel literature.

This is a digital platform for a transnational network of cultural analysis with relevance for Greek culture, history, and society and their place within ongoing theoretical, cultural, and political debates around the world.
