      Each search retrieves a number of resources, including the following:

  • Full-text articles from more than 110,000 journals.
  • A growing collection of more than 66,000 images from the KU Libraries digital collections and beyond.
  • More than 7,700 articles and Open Access research from KU ScholarWorks, KU's institutional research repository.

To limit your results, choose just "articles" or "books."  Or set additional search limits on the left-hand column as appropriate for your search.

 

Getting Started

This guide includes searching tips and library resources that have been selected for students  who will be studying the following course: AAAS/GEOG 553: Geography of African Development.  Examines development-related issues on the African continent from the colonial era to present day. Among issues to be covered in the course include: Development policies;  Foreign Direct Investment; Agriculture & Land tenure; Urbanization; Industrialization; Debt; Poverty; Food Security; and Aid in Africa.
