Introduction to Research for Slavic folklore

Welcome to the Library research guide for Slavic folklore!

This guide will help you complete the research exercise for SLAV 148/149 Introduction to Slavic Folklore.  The purpose of the research exercise is to teach students INFORMATION MANAGEMENT. When you complete the research exercise, you will:

  • Know more about the library and its resources, human and material;
  • Better understand how locate needed materials in a variety of formats;
  • Be more able evaluate and choose the best materials.

The research exercise consists of three components:  an intenet research tutorial, library sessions with accompanying worksheets, and a research assignment.
