Cities and the Environment: the Electronic Journal of the Urban Ecology Collaborative. 2008-. Publishes peer-reviewed scholarship on urban ecology research and urban ecology education.

Cityscape: a Journal of Policy Development and Research. 1994-. Published three times a year by the Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development with the goal of bringing high-quality original research on housing and community development issues to scholars, government officials, and practitioners.  

Environment and Planning B, Planning and Design. 1974-. Articles report on leading edge research in the application of formal methods, methods models, and theories to spatial problems which involve the built environment and the spatial structure of cities and regions.

Environment and Planning D, Society & Space. 1983- An international and interdisciplinary journal that provides a forum for the discussion of the mutually constitutive relation between the social and the spatial.

Environment and Urbanization. 1989- Focuses on urban and environmental issues and their interconnections, with a particular emphasis on Africa, Asia and Latin America  Each issue of the journal focuses on a particular theme and includes between 9 and 15 papers on that theme, papers responding to the themes of previous issues and a Book Notes section with details of new publications.

European Planning Studies cover

European Planning Studies. 1994-. Provides a forum for ideas and information about spatial development processes and policies in Europe. The journal publishes articles of a theoretical, empirical and policy-relevant nature and is particularly concerned to integrate knowledge of processes with practical policy proposals, implementation and evaluation.  

European Urban and Regional Studies. 1994-.  Includes dialogue between different European traditions of intellectual enquiry on urban and regional development issues. Explores the ways in which space makes a difference to the future economic, social and political map of Europe, and highlights the connections between theoretical analysis and policy development.

Housing Studies. 1986-. International forum for academic debate in the housing field; welcomes contributions on housing and housing related issues from many different disciplines including economics, political science, urban studies, history, social administration, sociology, geography, law and planning.

International Journal of Urban and Regional Research. 1997-. Embraces a multidisciplinary approach to the field, providing essential reading for social scientists with a concern for the complex, changing roles and futures of cities and regions.

Journal of Urban Design. 1996-. Provides articles on research and practice in urban design which offer contributions in several areas of interdisciplinary and international interest.

Journal of Urban History. 1974-. Presents the latest research, analyses, and discussion on the history of cities and urban societies throughout the world.  

Papers in Regional Science. 1955-. The official journal of the Regional Science Association International. Coverage includes: innovation and spatial knowledge spillovers, spatial networks and clusters, regional labour markets, spatial econometrics, behavioral location models, transportation and migration, land use and urban development, spatial agglomeration and segregation, new economic geography, inter-industry analysis and trade, environment and natural resources, urban and regional development, geographical information systems and spatial data analysis.

Planning Theory. 2002-. An international peer-reviewed forum for the critical exploration of planning theory. A core publication for planning theorists, the journal is also be of interest to scholars of human geography, public administration, administrative science, sociology and anthropology.

Planning Theory and Practice. 2000-. Provides a focus for the development of theory & practice in spatial planning & encourages the development of a spatial dimension in other areas of public policy.

Town Planning Review. 1910- Well established urban and regional planning journal, providing a principal forum for communication between researchers and students, policy analysts and practitioners.

The journal coverage is worldwide in its scope and it hosts innovative multi-media websites - including graphics, sound and interactive elements - to accompany selected print articles.
