Questions and Answers (hopefully)

Question: Question egarding amortization.  If I enter $5,000 as the cost, and 5 as the number of years to amortize, are you simply dividing $5,000 by 5 to get $1,000 as the FY11 cost?

Answer: Yes.

1)      Question: How is privacy of the staff information I enter protected?  Does it only “live” on the local Access database?  What is exported to you?

Answer: Be sure and read the "Step 1" document.  Principal Investigators will not see individual staff data.  We will only see per unit totals by cost center (e.g. OCLC ILL Borrowing).  The complete raw data will stay in the database on the PC where you enter the data. So it will be as secure as the process is that you have for your own PCs.

What is exported to you?  You can open the three spreadsheets and the three pdf files to see what we are asking you to submit.
