Guide Info

This interactive map organizes Japan’s brewers by their region and prefecture. Click on the region you would like to see, and then click on a prefecture to see the list of to the brewers’ and their featured sake, each are links to the brewer’s website. The different colored links in English are translated websites of the brewery listed above it.

Some prefectures, especially in Kyushu Region and Okinawa, include Shochu, which is distilled liquor made from grains, sweet potatoes or brown sugar. We included Shochu to be included at the bottom of the list, after the sake brewers. And at the very bottom of the list, there are links to that prefectures’ sake brewery union.

You can also use the drop-down menu under the HOME tab to select a region. To see the list of the brewers in Okinawa, click Okinawa on this map.
