Financial Assistance for Strengths

Workshops sponsored by Human Resources (e.g. Discover Your Strengths) are available, please follow these steps:
1) Obtain approval from your supervisor.
2) Once approved, then register on the HR website, after which you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration.
3) The confirmation e-mail received will ask you to provide payment information. YOU MUST forward that e-mail to LibAid in order for payment to be processed. This is the ONLY way that we are made aware of the need for payment, so this step is critical.

- Authentic Happiness ToolWebsite with a free online tool to help identify strengths (look under engagement questionnaires)
- Strong Life Test (for Women)The test presents you with a number of scenarios and then challenges you to identify which decision you would make. Be sure to go with your top-of-mind response; your immediate, unfiltered reaction is always the most revealing.

KU HREO
Several Library staff have taken the 2 hour KU HREO Discover Your Strengths and the 6 hour KU HREO Strengths Essentials classes. If you would like to talk with them about it please let me know. - KU HREO - Discover Your Strengths (3 hour class)NEXT SESSION: March 30th, 2011 (Cost $17 and can likely be covered by Library if you contact your supervisor/AD).
Utilizes the Gallup Organization's online Clifton Strengthsfinder 2.0 test. You then discuss the results in class. Specific suggestions on how to work towards these strengths in job duties, relationships, and more are presented. - KU HREO - Strengths Essentials (6 hour class)NEXT SESSION: March 8th, 9am - 4pm. (Cost = $67 and can likely be covered by Library if you contact your supervisor/AD)
This workshop from The Marcus Buckingham Company is "designed to assist participants in understanding and leveraging their strengths at work"
Marcus Buckingham left Gallup to form his own company. This class utilizes new ideas he has. One key difference is that you receive a deck of cards that you take with you that helps one determine their own strengths.
