Designed for promising non-managerial staff to put them on the fast-track for successful public sector careers. In doing so the program benefits not only the attendees, but also offers agencies a powerful succession planning tool. - KU Staff Fellows Program(Early July 2010 call for applications for 2010-2011 class)
For selected staff members who have been at KU for at least two years and who, with the support of their supervisor, would like to examine a particular area of interest in higher education administration through a group or individual project. Both Regular Unclassified Professional Staff and University Support Staff are eligible and encouraged to apply. - Certification in Copyright Management and LeadershipMarch-May/Sept-Nov + electives in Jun/Jan | Program Fee: Members: $1280 / Non-Members: $1600

To achieve Certification, a candidate must meet the eligibility requirements, and successfully complete six of ten competency sets. Three are required and three are elective. An 18-month fellowship program to prepare mid-career librarians from traditionally underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups to take on increasingly demanding leadership roles in ARL libraries. - ARL Research Library Leadership Fellows Program (RLLF)Feb 2011-Oct 2012 (October call for applications due: December 15, 2010)
An executive leadership program designed and sponsored by ARL member libraries that offers an opportunity for development of future senior-level leaders in large research libraries. The program exposes and engages library staff who have the desire and potential for leadership at ARL libraries to themes and institutions that will enhance their preparedness. - Frye Leadership InstituteJune 5-10, 2011 (September calls for application due: Dec. 1, 2010) | Tuition: $5000 (A non-refundable participant fee of $2,500 is due upon acceptance to the Institute.)
Designed for leaders in higher education, including CIOs, librarians, information technology professionals, and administrators with at least seven years' experience in the field, and able to demonstrate leadership in the profession as well as experience with the current Institute's topic. - AALL Leadership AcademyApplications accepted April 1-June 30, 2011 | Tuition: $399
Designed for Law librarians (AALL members) in the early stages of their career. - NLM/AAHSL Leadership Fellows ProgramDesigned for librarians with a minimum of five years of department-head level or higher responsibility, or equivalent experience. Applicants should have strong interest in pursuing a directorship in academic health sciences libraries, regardless of type of library background or current setting.
