Background

Kansas libraries have a long history of sharing our resources through interlibrary loan services.  We take pride in the services we provide collectively across the state and would appreciate your assistance in helping us understand the value you place on these services.

Study Purpose:  The purpose of this research project is to gather stories on how patrons of libraries across the state value the services we provide via interlibrary loan.  Gathering these value statements can help to build stories on the impact of both the local library service as well as the interlibrary loan collectively across the state. This helps us at both the local and the state level understand what parts of our services bring what value.

Study requirements: You must be at least 18 years old in order to participate in this study.  It should take you less than 15 minutes to complete the survey. Participants must have received at least one item through their local Kansas library via their interlibrary loan service in the past year.

What I will do with the information:  I will both share anonymous aggregated information as well as individual stories.  I will only share the individual stories with information identifiable to you if I have your permission.  This information will be used in written articles, presentations, and could be used as a discussion topic for a statewide interlibrary loan meeting in Kansas to help us improve our services.

Benefit to participation: There is no compensation for participation. The benefit is in helping interlibrary loan across the state of Kansas understand what we can do to provide impactful service.
