Technical papers: AIAA

Track down technical reports on topics as varied as climate change and rocket propulsion by using a combination of government sites, KU Libraries catalog, and databases.

AIAA papers

AIAA papers are available in various formats (print, microfiche, online) and locations depending on the publication year. They may be listed under a different organization if the conference was sponsored by multiple organizations. Use these tips to get started, but feel free to contact me for assistance.

Where to look by publication date:

1976-1985 filed in the microfiche collection in Spahr Engineering Library (plus some 1986 and 1989, see catalog)

1986-1989 shelved in the ANNEX

1990-1996 are bound in print in Spahr Engineering Library, TL521 .A23

1997-present are available online via Aerospace Research Central. KU Libraries' subscription includes most journal articles and Meeting Papers.

Regarding papers published before 1997, check the document record in Aerospace Research Central (ARC) for information about co-sponsors and/or a conference name. Use clues in the ARC record to search KU Libraries for the proceedings beyond bound AIAA papers. For example search KU Libraries by conference name to find proceedings about structure or materials.

See Finding Guide for AIAA Papers  for more information on papers published between 1981-1996. Spahr Engineering Library Reference Z5063 .A2 F56

See the catalog for more details on KU Libraries' holdings of AIAA papers.
